My wife and I saw Steve Dacri in Vegas at the Hilton. His show is "In Your Face".
He did a ring vanish during the first part of the show that was supposed to be
found in a gumball machine at the end of the show. The ring was never found as
the machine malfunctioned. The routine was that the rings owners was given a quarter
and the first container out of the machine was a cheap toy. She was given a second
quarter but when she turned the knob nothing came out. Mr. Dacri just said something like "and nothing came out" and then just walked off the stage and the show ended. My wife thought it was very strange. What would you have done?

What, if I was Steve Dacri, or if I was the guy who loant him my expensive ring?

Actually..., you should always have a "Plan B", especially when it comes to mechanical props. Plan B could be as simple as a funny line, or a "Insurance Policy" bit, etc.

I've seen Steve Dacri work, he's FANTASTIC!

Maybe his fingernails clogged up the mechanism.
