I normally put some hay in the cage (in a nest box) for the mother to nest in. make sure the babies are not left on the wire floor of the cage. The mother will pull hair for the nest area, to keep the babies warm. You will want to remove the male rabbit, since they have been known to eat the babies. The mother will normally only feed the babies once a day (normally at night). You may not ever see her feeding them. If you have any other questions, just ask.

GreatScott is totally right about the feeding of the babies. If you even see the female feeding, you got lucky. Natural instinct is to 'appear' to stay away from the babies. This is because rabbits have that protection instinct and try to lure predators away from their babies in the wild. They usually feed at night when you are sleeping. They aren't like pups (dogs/cats) that feed all the time either. They don't need much, but when they do, you will probably never see it. As for pulling out their own hair, YES, they do this. They usually pull from their backside first and then continue on until they have a nice amount of fur for a nest leaving bald spots where they pulled from. Best to get nesting materials as stated. And yes, keep the male away until the babies can move around on their own.
Geez - I would recommend a vet visit to have some spading or nuetering. If your baby rabbits survive, you are going to have a BUNCH of rabbits within a years time if you aren't careful *smile* -Alpha |

I've had a lot of experience with rabbits, mostly Netherland Dwarfs, but never in raising baby bunnies. I have owned 7 rabbits during my magic years, but only one was a doe. I prefer bucks because of their personality. I always keep mine in seperate cages anyway, so breeding might be a problem for them! LOL I have heard that they can multiply extremely fast!

I like to put a worn shirt in the cage so they become used to my smell.
After 6 months you can determine their gender and separate them. Depending on the breed and personality, you may need to permanently separate them after a year because they can be territorial. Each bunny needs 4 square feet of space or you'll be seen as a bad bunny breeder. Also, Bunnies instinctually pretend to be healthy (in the wild) so they don't appear vulnerable. Ask your vet when he wants you to take them in, for an examine... even though they appear perfectly normal to you. Read all this http://www.rabbit.org/care/index.html I've had several rabbits that have exceeded 15 years of age because of the info on that site and because I have large play-room they take turns in, plus I pet them while I watch TV (which helps socialize them too). Final thought. (I realize that Cody already knows about bunnies and heat so this next paragraph is intended for those new this) - I myself, will not take them outdoors for shows. Putting a bunny in a load chamber with the sun beating down (even at 75 degrees) is like putting then in the trunk of your car, I will either sell the customer a different show without animals or don't do one at all. (Again I know this is basic stuff for experianced owners but written here for people who have never owned a rabbit), Thank you.
