The Effect:
Show four coins on a table. Place them in your hands and then they vanish. You can even change them to different coins. They say it's one of the best coin tricks and the DVD is twenty dollars. I have seen some great magicians doing this trick and it is a good one and it's very easy. I have always used a TT for silks and not coins. I have shown over 1000 people this trick and it goes undetected up close. The new TT look like real T's. I think this is one of the best devices to have for walk around. This trick has been around forever and there is a hundred different things you can do with it. Has anyone used this with coins? |

Jfactor,
Look at this: http://www.magicshop.co.uk/p2059/Deluxe_......nfo.html The Magicshop and Hanklees have them. There are good ones for three dollars, but the best ones are twenty to thirty dollars. They look so real and you can get any color you want. I have seen two DVD's on this, Ammar and one just on this trick. Paul |

Yes Michael Ammar has it on his Easy to Master Coin Miracles Volume 1.
It is his 41 cent miracle. It is a nice routine with good storyline. Check it out. TC |

Actually, Tom Gagnon had a lot of work with a tt and coin. I believe it is in his book, Sleightly Original.

There is something in Bobo with a folding coin and a TT. It's on page 333. By
Owen Clark where he calls it Miser's Dream; some say he was a mechanical genius. The TT was made to spring open with the coin. |

I think the TT works great with coins.

David Stone used aswell a TT to produce coins for one of his coin acts. Can't remeber the exact name of it, just that the final picutre was a happy face made out of coins. It's on his Basic Coin DVD Vol 2.
Anywayn the TT you've shown us looks really realistic and well made, but in my opinion you don't need to use such an expensive and realistic TT. In my beginner years in magic my tutor showed me a trick using a TT. When I told him that I needed to get one, he said that there's no need, since the goal of the device is that nobody should see it. To prove his saying he showed me the same effect using a flashy orange object like a large thimble. I didn't see anything. Oliver. |

You don't see many magician's using it with coins. I have used it a lot and people
never see it. I would like to know how many different tricks you can do with this device with coins. Paul |

We are not talking about Half's or Silver Dollars here. Would be a strange looking TT!!

I have one of those Fredi Up TT's & they do look very real. I could point my thumb at you with my hand held completely still & I doubt you'd see it. However, I found they don't go back on as smoothly when loaded with a silk for instance. I've since reverted to my good old hard vernet.
And what coins are we talking about here? They'd have to be pretty small. IMO, vanishing or producing tiny items is pointless as they could be concealed just about anywhere. |
