Well, of course, as a common logic, if I can buy a second-hand one, why not I try that first? Thanks for your honest opinion, even somehow it disappointed me, but let's not go to that topic. The reason why I open this thread is to find opinions on Poker Deal tricks.

There is quite a good stacking one. It is on Richard turner's The Science of Shuffling and Stacking and uses a overhand shuffle. It is good as it is not too difficult to learn and doesn't require a table faro.

A second vote for Pokericulum by Stewart James. After four rounds of cards are dealt anyone at the table can exchange their cards for yours or switch the fifth dealt card for any available one of better value to their hand.

The very recently released "The Card Soloutions of Solomon" 3 dvd set has the Stewart James poker deal {Jamesway poker} on it.
People might like this as the spec has 3 phases where they make all the choices but you still end up with the royal flush. My own personal favourite is Roberto Giobbi's "Fantasist at the card table" Card College 5, a full deck stack but well worth it. The Lorayne routines look fantastic. |

Here's the Stewart James routine.

Certainly many of us have to watch what we spend, and that's nothing to be ashamed of. I suggest trying to contact Aldo Colombini through his website http://www.wildcolombini.com and asking for suggestions from his vast array of card magic e-books and DVD's. He has a number of e-books that have poker or gambling routines. Impromptu Card Magic has a whole section on gambling routines, as well as a great deal more. Huge value for your money. His DVD "Ten Tested Poker Deal" is a fine routine and not hard to do. It allows you to focus on your presentation and have some fun with people. The Colombini's are on tour right now so he may not respond right away. If he sees your e-mail, he will respond. But there is a deal on his website now, get a free e-book for each item purchased. So for one E-book purchase you can get another free...and no shipping costs. That's very economical and you could get far more than poker or gambling card effects. Let me know if you want any further suggestions, but Colombini offers a lot of magic for a decent price. Regards |
