Hello everyone!!!
So recently, I've pushed my focus more towards other aspects of theatre... I still love magic but am focusing on my acting and scripting abilities right now. Recently, I was cast as one of the leads in our submission to the Sears Drama Festival... The play is student-written and is called Malice in Wonderland. Westmount Secondary School's 2010 submission to the Sears Ontario Drama Festival follows a young girl named Alice on her journey through Wonderland as she also completes a journey to her adulthood and loss of innocence. Guided by The White Rabbit and Cheshire Cat, she faces numerous daunting tasks that inspire, confuse, and terrify. The play is only 30 minutes long and is my first lead role (I play the White Rabbit). Please excuse the inappropriate laughter in the audience, there was a definite lack of maturity for a play this adult. I'd love to hear your thoughts on it. We had less than a month to rehearse, block, paint sets, design and obtain costumes, and I think it's amazing what we were able to accomplish in such a short time. Let me know what you think! Michael Kras

I could only manage to watch the first couple of minutes. Either the cast hasn't learned how to project or it's an issue with the on-board microphone on the camcorder. Possibly both. I may try again later.

I believe it's just that the camcorder didn't pick it up well... Some cast members also had troubles projecting at times... But it'll get better, I promise it's worth watching.

Hey everyone, I'd love to hear some feedback on this in terms of performance and the production as a whole... I feel our fast could really benefit from it. What worked, what didn't, what could be changed, added, dropped, strengths, weaknesses, etc. Be as brutal as you wish I really appreciate the help. I feel it's worth a watch

As I skipped through it (an I emphasize SKIPPING THROUGH IT)... I could tell it was blocked very well and the ensemble was strong. The audience reaction were excellent! It seem's like all of you have a lot of talent. Great job for pulling something together in such a short amount of time.
The only criticism I can give is that it's a hard to watch ANY play on video, even if it's the best play in the world. Theater is theater! Even if it was shot in HD, with closeups on the actors faces... it's still a video. This video was shot quite wide and you can't hear some of the actors. This is why you won't find many people (other than the family of the cast) that will watch the whole play on tape. It's too much of a chore, Michael. You are close to this play, so I am sure it is more special to you than it is to us. Just put yourself in our shoes. I love plays. I love watching plays. Just in a packed theater... not on YouTube. All the best, Clock |

What Clock said.
I will make two comments: 1. Michael, I *do* think you have talent, and you should stick with it. 2. The Cheshire Cat was a bit...well...sexy. Which embarrases me, since she's probably young enough to be my...uh...ah...younger sister. |
