Just another post of appreciation for the work of Rich over at Mental Craft.
I emailed him an idea for a pendulum and about a week later he emailed me a couple of pictures of what he created for me. I hope he chimes in here and is able to put up the picture on the light box (I can not do it). The cameo is carved out of a shell and is translucent...as is the ancient arrow head at the other end, all on a antique copper and brass chain. Man...what a story this thing tells in the imagination of all who see it! I got it in my hands today and it looks wonderful. The ideas that are running in my head for this pendy are numerous and have been writing down ideas ever since I saw pictures of it. I am reminded of a quote: "Creation unfolds like a great work of art, a masterpiece in the making. And just as you can learn about an author by the stories he tells, you can learn a great deal about an artist from the works he creates." (John Eldredge) Rich, It was great working with you on this personal project and hope it inspires others to reach out to you for your wonderful work. -Scott M |

What a lovely piece, Scott!
Rich is the best source I've ever found for unique and beautiful pendulums made in a variety of (rare) materials. I own quite a few pieces by him and they are all well loved and utilized as very powerful and naturally fascinating resources in my work. Lucky boy, you! P.S. I should take a moment and comment about the "fascination factor" I find so important in the field of dowsing. When we can use an object that's able to cast its own spell, magick and affect on the audience/participant before we even begin working with it, we're already half-way to success. His pendulums have that effect, and then some.

If it's a fascination factor you're after you should see MY pendulum. A shrunken head fron Doug Higley. A bit bulky but a huge talking point. Most are quite angry about the nail but as I keep saying: 'The guy died over 70 years ago, let it go.'
