I was at David's show tonight and was lucky to be randomly selected to participate in the Lottery illusion. It wa literally a dream come true since I've been a fan for thirty years. I got to provide two numbers and joke with David from the audience and then to up on stage and open the prediction box, hold the paper up for the audience and the hold on to one of two columns while the car appeared above my head. I had seen the same show a few times before, but I can't explan how amazi g it was to actually be participating in the show. Hours later. I'm still in shock.
I must say that David was the best I've seen him in years. He was engaged and very present, which wasn't the case when I saw him a few years ago. I just wish he would come up with some new illusions for his shows. It seems such a waste to not apply his talents in a new way. And surely he would relish the opportunity to challenge himself. He's too you to resort to a "greatest hits" act. If Michael Jackson was the "King of Pop," surely David is the "King of Magic." |

Ditto.....
MagicKev, what a wonderful opportunity. Especially to be one of the 2 to hold the columns. I had to say, the car appearance was absolutely amazing. We took our 9 year old son because I felt it was important for him to see a legend of magic live. Though there had been a disappointing review about DC's recent shows, I was delighted that as you said, he looked good and seemed very engaged. He's not the same DC that we all grew up with....but then again, we're not the same as we were 20 years ago either. He's got a look and image that fits his age. Again, a great show and for you...MagicKev, a memory for a lifetime. Best Regards. Michael |

I saw his show in Vegas recently and absolutely think he is still on top of his game.
Sounds like he created real magic as that memory will live with you forever.

I just saw it in Flint, MI; again an awesome show. It was my second time, however I took my girlfriend, and 4 days later she is still in awe about it. True testament to his power.

Caught his act at Casino Rama (central Ontario, Canada) on May 15th. I had never seen him previously in person but he was very 'present' and engaging with the audience...especially the ladies...He has a truly excellent and well balanced stage show and is without a doubt a living legend. Further respect must be given to the fact that proceeds from his 'Project Magic' book sold after the show went directly to charity.

Flamel,
Thanks for mentioning that the proceeds from David's Project Magic book will be going to his charity. I actually bought a copy of the book after his performance and was delighted to see a father standing next to me buy a copy for his son. It's a testament to David's humbleness and humilty that he doesn't more actively (self) promote his charitable works. Kev |

Great to hear he is still on top of his game...
If only he would reconsider touring worldwide again... Here's hoping...
