My Berglas Effect is now available at Lybrary.com for any of you who are interested. This is the finished version of what I shared here for free a little while back.
It is the Ultimate in Any Card At Any Number for walk around. ALL of the stipulations of the original are adhered to. Deck on display from the start. Each participant freely names any playing card and any number in between 1 and 52. No stooges are used. The cards are dealt one at a time face up by one of the participants and the freely named card is found at the position in the deck of the freely named number. Magician does NOT touch the deck after BOTH the playing card and number have been named. Normal deck is used and can even be borrowed. NO sleight of hand. NO memory work. NO gaffs OR extra props. NO stacks OR working anything out. NO multiple outs. As a student of Kenton be sure to find an ingenious use of previous principles in this bold method from Fraser. |

I had it earlier, and all of the above statements are true.
The principle(s) behind this are very clever and embarassangly simple. This could be a greate showpiece in a formal situation, or even in the street approaching some stranger. One caution : This is not a one-on-one effect. Hard to tell more without tipping the method. |

Is pre-show work necessary to properly perform this effect?

Yes, but I can tell you, that you are thinking about a wrong method

In a good performers hands - it is very convincing.
Nowadays I ususally perform one-one-one situations, but when I have the opportunity I use it, makes a nice introduction of myself |
