I received Bad to the Balloon Vol 1 the other day. I now have added a shark, a dolphin and a (Modified) duck to my repertoire. There are others on the DVD, but these were easy to do and remember.

BIGmagiclV, I do balloons as an add-on for B-days. So I do quick, one or two balloon creations. If you do the same ones over and over and then add a new one every once in a while, the list starts to get fairly long.
Mine includes, lion, cat, wiener dog, tiger, teddy bear, giraffe, airplane, sword, flower, bunny, flying mouse, guitar, ray gun, monkey in a tree, elephant, humming bird, butterfly, heart, alien hat, Dinosaur, pig, poodle, and now the dolphin, shark, duck and a fun frog. That's 26. Not an exhaustive list, but enough to satisfy the desires or most kids. Just make it your business to add a new model this week.

If you do the dragon you can skip the wings to make it faster. This one even impresses teenagers!!!

Glad you like the DVD .... ready for #2 yet?

Mark, Not yet. Like I said above, I add a couple at at time. You've got some easier and some more advanced hats. I started with the ones that were the quickest and produced a lot of bang for the buck. Love your stuff.

The point in this thread is that a person can very easily learn and remember enough balloon creations to add extra value to your magic shows. I started with the "One Balloon Zoo" book several years ago. Pretty basic stuff in there, but most of what I make is quick and easy. By no stretch of the imagination would I hire myself out strictly as a balloon artist. But after a birthday party, the kids just love getting a balloon.

If reading a book is not too "low tech", I would suggest: How to Blow Up Animals: A Beginner's Guide to Fun With Balloons [Paperback] Lon Cerel (Author), Henny Youngman (Contributor)

Concerning memory, it can be useful to print a menu of the sculptures you have learnt.

In every book or dvd, you will only keep the sculptures you like, so in the end you will have your own booklet with selections from different sources.

I have several menus, with one-ballon/two-balloon/etc... sculptures, which I use according to the number of kids and the time I have.

What is nice with them is that after a while you may become tired of twisting that same little dog, which the kids always ask (I still don't know why, by the way ! Why not a cat ?).
If they have a look at your menu, they are more likely to choose different things.

For those who are not afraid of French language there is this forum with a few tutorials:

Look at the 'tutos' section.

And you have a lot on Ballonhq.
