I've been practicing this effect now for over a year now and I have everything looking good except for 1 thing and that's the single handed link and I heard a rumor somewhere that it's nearly impossible to do it with the traditional close-up linking rings which I have so I was wondering, does anybody have an extra set of the Ninja Rings (Gold or Silver is fine) they're willing to part with? I would do anything to get these because I've been wanting to get them since I got the DVD last year so please somebody, tell me you're willing to get rid of your set. Hope to hear from somebody soon.
Sincerely, Matthew |

Hi Matthew,
I tried e-bay & e-bid, but could not see any. Have you checked out 'Ninja +' by Matthew Garrett? these rings look simillar to the ninjas in weight and quality, although I dod not own them. By the way, despite intensive practice, I never got consistently 100% with the one handed link! Good luck Charlie |

If you don't find the Ninja Rings you want, I think the Empire linking rings work fine, but you have to "tweak" the key with a Dremel tool to round the edges a bit. Cut the center ring of the three ring link and do the same with it and you have two sets. With the tweaking, they work great. Without it, they are just another set of rings.
Magic is where you find it.....

It's definitely a tough call, but I'm still thinking that the Tony Clark one would loosen them up more than the Richard Sanders one but you also get audience participation with both of them. |

I find the one handed link harder with the relatively expensive jap ninja rings. The rings I made by local workers are cheap, lighter not that good looking and slightly bigger but the one handed link is much easier with them.Anyway I personally think the shoot ogawa and dan Fleshman ninja rings routines have some flaws.Dan's performance is poor in the dvd and though shoot's perfance is great, his routine is not. What do you guys think?I mixed the ogawa routine with pop haydn routine for closeup show.
Magic is believing in yourself, if you can do that, you can make anything happen.

I think the beginning of Dan's routine is better. Shoot's performance and grace are top notch, of course.
I basically removed all the table moves from the ninja routine and I use Dan's beginning. I add a lot of spectator interaction and comedy and it's a keeper! I altered the routine when I use bigger rings (8" or 10") and now use that routine no matter what kind of rings I use. I use the ninja rings constantly in strolling and consider it to be the best strolling trick I have with me. So many benefits to the rings. What do you not like about the routine Shoot performs, asgar?
