A documentary filmed from a German crew show an African shaman performing levitation:
whether that was true or false is not the point: Point is I liked the staging and Criss Angel could even learn one thing or two from that shaman: Also I'd see Mr. Finley perfect for that role: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tW6pVFOpE6Q |

This is much much better than Criss Angel if you see it in context.
The Shaman here is "in" context. People will see this as more likely to be "real." All that stuff about "less is more", it shouldn't be "graceful" if it was difficult or mystical and blablabla... Angel, Copperfield etc. are very good at levitations, but will always look like "Magicians performing an Illusion"... This guy would fool some people into thinking he is "real" methinks... And I love the idea of a having a wide ring of fire while doing that. People cannot come close to you. Clever. Fake but clever.

For what's worth... I liked this video (More than anything I saw coming from Angel?... Yes!)

Me too. Put it in the context of the place this man works. I would imagine this would do good things for the effectiveness of his bone shaking.

Well, probably even Criss is a freak because it was in his genes...
So you aren't original!

I really like the video, especially, as others have said, considering the context.

Given that when witnessing a levitation, most people will be inclined to think "Harness/wires" etc - I don´t think that the video is very impressive, it´s rather dark and the only (poor yet ambient) illumination is the ring of fire. Just because a camera man is seen getting closer to get a "better angle" doesn´t mean he´s not a stooge....
If you compare this performance to Chris Angels Shopping mall mass levitation I think most laymen will find Angels performance more impressive. I mean let´s face it, how many people actually believe that people can levitate without the aid of hidden trickery? Without getting into exposure, I think that once you know how things like this are done it´s down to personal taste.....
If you never fail, you're not trying hard enough.

I'm personally more impressed with this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Aos0hnwiHt8
Some people hear voices.. Some see invisible people.. Others have no imagination whatsoever.

If either of these fine mentalists get to read this I have no doubt they'll have fits of giggling.
