I am looking for a roulette or black-jack routine - does anyone know somebody who is perfoming a good routine with this topic? thanks, have a good day! |

What is meant by a roulette routine? What effect are you looking for to happen in the routine? Or do you mean a demonstration wherein you win at will on roulette? Do you have a roulette wheel for the routine? Are you interested in prediction of numbers? ( which might be interesting if done well... check Derren Brown's on youtube as I think he tried something on these lines). Or are you looking to do a cheating/expose type of thing?
Not that I have the answers to all of these possibilities but it might help to clarify. |

I don’t play Roulette but I bought a casino Roulette Wheel some years ago. I have played around with the thing trying to see how it can be rigged just for fun but I can’t see how one can do it.
If there is a single truth about Magic, it is that nothing on earth so efficiently evades it.

Rigged for fun and rigged for profit are not always the same. A wheel can be rigged to encourage an unnatural percentage... or bias... great for profit but...
waiting on a percentage is not much fun, not very impressive, and not really suitable for any kind of routine. There are. of course, ways to rig a wheel to offer something more sure and immediate than percentage. Although I am aware of these methods, I do not have the knowledge that would allow me to offer any detailed explanation on their use or workings. I could quote from the usual source but as I have said before, If anyone is truly interested in this game security stuff and does not have Steve Forte's text on the subject, they are blowing it very badly. I was lucky to see Steve's seminars before he retired and his roulette demonstrations were both impressive, and consistent. |

Hey dowser!
I am not looking for any cheating/exposing routine. more for kind of prediction routine... (best would be with 3 or 4 numbers). I have one from basil horwitz (psychic roulette) which is pretty good - but it is a prediction on even-chances. but I am interested in all kinds of roulette-routines - but it should show how to cheat in casinos... thanks! (i like steve fortes work as well!:) |

Hmmm... I will have to think about the roulette... nothing off the top of my head. As far as blackjack routines go, there are many around and it is not too hard to construct one of your own. It is just a simple matter of a little riffle stacking, or second dealing with a peek, or just rolling the deck to achieve your desired results.
One black jack effect that I liked was written up by Max Maven in one of the magazines approximately 15 years ago and it used the gilbreath principle so that you could allow the spectator to shuffle and you predict the result of a black jack hand while controlling a black jack during the deal. Sorry I do not recall the issue... maybe someone here knows. p.s. The comments " I am not looking for any cheating/exposing routine." and "-but it should show how to cheat in casinos..." seem contradictory. I guess the effect you are after is that you are able to beat the casino's but you do not intend to do any exposure during the routine? |

Larry Becker Casino Caper. Blackjack, Roulette and Craps.
You can find it in his Stunners Book. There is also another great strategy That I've used with a Keno Ticket in place of the blackjack hand. Not sure of where it's in print, but it was created by Lew Brooks of Las Vegas.

Unless you absolutely need a script prepared for you, you may be better off putting something together yourself that perhaps didn't use a little plastic toy roulette wheel........or cost $150.00.
A "one ahead" prediction affair (which is what this is) is likely already in your library, just needing to have gambling props substituted for (or added to) one of the standard "one ahead" prediction methodologies you already own. |

The routine I was referring to is in Beckers Stunners Plus (pg 119). I see no credit to Jules Lenier in the write up, though the effect seems to be remarkably similar. The props for this routine can be assembled for as little as $20.00.

Another routine from above mentioned Larry Becker book is Casino Royale. If you were going to do with this actual casino chips, this routine could be pretty costly.
Do a search here for more on this. Many performers have flopped on stage because they couldn't remember the one-ahead info, including me. I use to do a graphology Q & A with a wallet and the one-ahead, and more then once I couldn't remember the one-ahead info. It's one thing to rehearse it..it's another thing to do it in front of a group of people.

The majority of routines that you may come up with pertaining to roulette will likely be predictions (what number will hit or what color etc.)... just consult Corinda's 13 steps... and apply your favourite method.
