Hey everyone!

Here's my routine for the wonderful Rune Klan effect Coin and Bottle, first published in Magic Magazine and now featured in his book Rune's World. I'd love to hear your thoughts on it!

I'm a very big fan of rune and I enjoy this effect alot. You did very well with the moves and the bottle was great. I'm not a major fan of your patter but besides that it was very nice.

Interesting patter. Well done too, since most of us can't get away with Rune's put-and-take patter (we're simply not that funny).
I was also surprised how well the body movement covered the final transposition, despite it being a fixed camera viewpoint.

Thank you! That's what mothers are for actually Smile my mom helped me choreograph the final transposition in a way that it could effectively be performed for an unmoving, unblinking eye.

I agree the bottle was the best because of what you just said about it working for a fixed eye!

I'd also have to say. Brilliant.

Yes, he's a little punk and the first impulse upon seeing that is to strangle him but if I step back and take a deep breath.

Brilliant.

Rob

PS. He may actually be quite large judging from his size compared to the deck. Hard to say. Still, I loved it.

I like how you tap the coin on the bottle. I'm assuming you are doing that to mask the noise of something?

I liked it. I also like at the beginning of the routine, "I am not old enough to drink but..."

It works, and sets the story.

I, too, think that last bit is great.

Btw, published in Magic Mag... the issue on Rune, or another?

Thanks!
