I'll make sure this goes on the site as a "how-to" as well. Quote:

My Sudbury Penny is not a real one. It is a copy, and I have no idea where the Magic Shop where I bought it, acquired it. The owner told me it was a "demo", and I bought it immediately. Since then, I have seen various inquiries about the Sudbury, and, at one time, there were some available. Now, I see that it is a rare item again. I am so glad I kept it!

Hi,
I typically go to the link below. http://www.blackmountaincoins.com/ I've found some off-beat coins from this place. I do Troy Hoosers routine changing three silver dollar coins to three gold coins and end clean. and the patter is great. Alchemist sort of thing. I picked up three gold Zodiac coins, actually 4, (Aquarius) from these folks and they are really close to the size of a Morgan. I also use, for some routines, the coins that come with Lassens Cerberus. The extra coins. And I found a great dollar sized Chinese coin at Elmwoods magic. Nice weight and feel. Jim |

Check out 20 Reit Portuguese coins. I have some from 1873. They are pretty copper coins and measure about 37mm in diameter.

To those interested in this coin, there's a bunch of sizes from different years. Just make sure you find the right years. Larry, if you know of a source/website for this that includes years... that would be FANTASTIC! |

Hello lorenwade,
It is somewhat difficult to sort per diameter of specific coins at Black Mountain Coins. When I purchased the Aquarius coins, I got lucky, because another member here at the Café pointed me in the right direction. They had already bought something similar. There are some diameter measurements listed in some of the descriptions, but it is scarce. I went looking for the coins I purchased from them,at their site, and couldn't find them. I guess they must have discontinued this series. Jim |

Oops, that was a typo. I don't want you investing in REITs (real estate investment trusts).
A few of these coins can be found at: http://www.treasurerealm.com/coinpapers/......eis.html |
