As a kid it was a simple k*y card trick. On starting to learn magic now as an adult it was a self-worker with a stack! Oh, the simplicity!

That was so long ago. I think it was a wooden paddle trick.

The first good card trick was with a stripped deck or maybe a Svengali. I can't remember it exactly but is was for sure with a gaff deck.
The first first one was with a key card, but I was really bad in glimpsing it |

The first trick I learned was from my dad when I was a kid. The spectator chose a card from the cards(just the red cards) then do a deck switch for the black cards and then magically find their card

Using the top card as a key card to find the chosen card that is placed on top of the deck.
Then using magician's choice by having the spectator draw lines between the cards and elimintating down to the chosen card. |
