Good job, Bryan. The small hole in the base should be cut out and used as an explanation as to where all the stuff comes from, via Jerry Andrus' "Zone Zero" ... it comes from "dark energy."

Nice job Bryan! Very clean design and color scheme. Nice job on the inner cuts of the face panel! Overall ya get an A+ from the WolfMan!
I remember when I had the patience to cut and fill complex inner cuts...then came the CNC Once again, GREAT JOB! Chance

Thanks again guys for the kind words!
Chance- I had actually considered contacting you to see if something like this could be cut via CNC... I would get myself into too much trouble with one of those cutters! (Actually, I would have lots of explaining to do as to how I was able to afford one in the first place!) Thanks for the high grade!!! Coming from a master craftsman of illusions, I really appreciate it! I see the "circle" everyone is spotting on the base. It looks like it was from when I was spraying the base... I set it on top of another crucial part of this to paint it and it left a little over-spray on the bottom... Nothing a little flat black couldn't fix |

What did you use on your interior? Velvet attached with glue?

I used black felt and a 3M Adhesive Spray. I would recommend a product called "Killer Z" instead of velvet or felt; however, I was in a pinch for time so I opted for the felt.

It's underneath... Leave it there and call it a "trademark"...

Excellent work my friend ... nice design.
What type of paint did you go with? The "new" Krylon has been an issue for me. Steve |

Hey Chez... I used the Krylon Fusion. It was 108 the day I sprayed it, so it dried really fast allowing me to spray multiple coats.. The sanding between layers was sweaty and itchy though!
James- "Killer Z" is a lot like velvet but a lot thinner and untextured on one side... I don't believe it has a grain to it either... Several of the "big guys" use this stuff when building bases, etc... |
