Maybe I'm a yutz, but I'm struggling with the explanation in the PCT book. Is there a DVD available? I couldn't find one on the Osterlind site. Am I the only one?

I also had a problem learning it from the book. Once I saw him perform it, I realized I was over-complicating it.

I have the DVD explanation and I still cannot make heads nor tails of it. I used to blame myself; but I've met so many other people who also have problems with it, that I suspect it is the teaching itself.
The single best DVD teaching I ever saw was Morgan Strebler's Liquid Metal. That taught you from multiple angles and even had a "newbie" learning along aide you.

After years of using this, I discovered last February that if I THINK about it, I can't do it. I have to literally forget I'm doing the PCT to do it properly. It's so natural that it's VERY easy to overcomplicate.

After learning the folds and tears, it is just a matter of practice, practice, practice. However, if you really want to have a hard time learning something, try learning Al Baker's CT from Mental Magic. It's a brilliant handling but hard to understand from his descriptions and illustrations. By comparison, learning Osterlind's PCT is a snap. Joe Z.
