We some friends plan to translate Expert at the Card Table and then publish, so I'm asking about the copyright property things.
Any place we should look for or contact? Thanks in advance. |

I assume you are translating it to another language. Any additional commentary, cover art, or illustrations that you add can be copyrighted. The original text and drawings are in the public domain as Vlad has stated.

I believe the book has been translated into Russian and Spanish. Those translations can be protected by copyright.
The original edition was copyrighted in 1902 for 28 years of protection. The book's copyright was not renewed for the second 28 year term of protection in 1930. At the end of 1930 it passed into the public domain. |
