Although I love my Abbotts Mutilated Parasol, the silks soon look tatty. Where can I buy diamond silks that are hard wearing? I live in UK.

Davenports comes to mind, as well as the International Magic Studio. Both are in London. Look in your telephone book under "magic" or "magic suppliers." I am sure there are a lot of magic dealers in the UK.

I know of every magic dealer in UK. I am in search of a long lasting diamond cut silk. Recommendations, please.

I have never found Diamond silks to be satisfactory for the parasol. First, most diamond silks are 5 momme. That is too thin to hold up on a regular basis.
I prefer to use 6 momme. Usually a 12" silk, pulled through and knotted so it is a little shorter will work. You can use 9", but I think they look too small. I have also made diagonal half silks if the space is too tight. I sometimes use a slightly larger silk in the handbag, as no one notices the difference. I will try to look up my notes to see what I have supplied in the past to customers. Richard
