I might get detractors here...but Pink Floyd is one of the greatest bands ever. I do not pretend they compare to the all-mighty beatles, however.

I love Pink Floyd. I love; "There's just a little pin prick, there'll be no more... AHHHHHHHHHH! But you may feel a little sick!"

I watched The Wall three times straight while on shrooms. Greatest movie ever. Watched it on nothing and it wasn't great.

The Beatles were a little before my time, but I fell in love with their music in the 70's. I became a Beatles' fanatic, and I have never stopped! My daughter got into them when she was in high school, so oner Christmas I bought her her very own collection of all the Beatle's CDs. (Except for "Hey Jude"....I got it later for around $50)
She plays in my band and we a bunch of Beatles' songs. People still love to hear them. I think they are the greatest band ever, hands down. I also like the other bands mentioned on this thread. Not only the Who, The Stones, and Pink Floyd, but I love many bands from the 60's and 70's. It was the greatest time in history for music...and TV IMO, and there will never be another era like it. I'm very lucky that my daughter and I like the same music. When she was around 13 she found my old CDs and she pretty much deserted the current music scene. She has never looked back. Neither have I! I am in a time-warp, I guess, but I still love to listen to and play the old stuff. We try to do songs that the large majority, if not all of the audience have heard before. It's surprising sometimes how many people actually do still like this old music. When we do Beatles' songs their are usually people from 8 to 80 that get into them.

After schmoozing the Heck out of them, he ruins it by asking; "By the way, which one's 'Pink?'" A prime example of ignorance in charge.

Disagree, strongly.
The impact that song made, breaking the 3 minute barrier on AM radio, was large. For me it's in the top ten easily, though I have a lot of ties in that top ten.
