At a flea markey type of place I bought a bronze coin for 3 dollars that is larger than a silver dollar. The inscription is Maria.Anna.Avgvsta.Ferdinandi.I.Imp.Et.Regis.
and on the reverse it says Et.Alter.Mihi.Patria (on top) Coron.Pragae.Mense.Sept.MDCCCXXXV (on bottom) The face is a women wearing a crown. On the back there is a coat of arms and a crown with some objects on a cushion. Any idea what this is? |

You sure it doesn't say MDCCCXXXI?
That would be an 1836 corination medal issued at the corination of Ferdinand I and Maria etc.. They run about $100 to $125. If it really ends with an V then it might be a bad forgery. |

Is it this?
Maria Anna of Savoy and Ferdinand I of Austria were married in 1836. This is a commemoration (or re-issue) of that marriage, likely. john

And for the sake of accuracy, they were married in 1831 while he was still Ferdinand V of Hungary; he became Ferdinand I of Austria in 1835.
Does the coin look old, or is it more likely a commemorative reissue? John

It looks very old. Kind of faded and hard to read in places.
There is no Germany on the opposite side. |

I have verified from the source of those pictures that those are reproductions.
