I haven't used my folding coins in some time. Unfortunately they sat with the rubberbands attached. Now I have little pieces stuck in the grooves. Does anyone have recommendations on how to easily get these pieces out? I will make sure I never store them with the rubberbands attached in the future.

Peter,
Welcome to the Café!! I use a thin razor blade and can get all the pieces out with that. Try giving that a shot. TC |

I use unwaxed floss.

Acetone will disolve the sticky goo and then a tooth brush

Soak coins in acetone overnight. The gunk will dissolve and you can carefully clean out the g*****s with an exacto knife. I just finished cleaning two coins this way and it works. After soaking, blow dry with compressed air or a can of air (purchase at Staples) used for blowing dust from computer parts.

My neighbor rang my doorbell at 2:30 a.m. this morning, can you believe that, 2:30 a.m.!? Lucky for him I was still up playing my drums. |
