Failed Magician Inner circle Still working on the DL even after made 2100 Posts |
I stumbled on this demo in FUN Inc website. I don't know how long it has been in the market but I can't find any topic or discussion about it here, so I might just start the first one.
Basically you ask them to choose any free card and you push a borrowed coin through the single card. No flap. Tried to find it on MJM but they don't have it. Someone can kindly enough to chime in and share? http://www.funinc.com/xcart/product.php?......0&page=1 DEMO: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PPS2mHLjnY8

I have this- not to bad Failed Magician. Justhave to keep the card below eye level when doing the effect. The gimmick is pretty well made. It's a nice little effect.

This does require sleight of hand for maximum impact.

Yeah I know it uses a secret something and I know what it is. But the "no flap" thing got me curious.

There's one withe French language I believe. There are at least two different demo videos. The second one, said it has no flap.

You are indeed correct! I didn't see the second video, it does state no flap!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YQWRwxrkAnc&feature=related looks exactly like cig through card though. |

I have this and I will say again that you need a sleight for making this look acceptable!

Thank goodness if you also saw it. I almost thought I read it wrong from the demo.

It looks to me like 'the trick that fooled Houdini' principle with an extra gaff built into it, just like cig through card by I think mac magic.
the only sleight I can see is the dl |

I bought the trick and the problem I have is that the spectator always sees the thickness is larger. (You know what I mean)

I don't know....looks like nothing more than the aforementioned cigarette through card but with a coin. If it is indeed the same principal I'm very surprised that he didn't have the chosen card signed by the spectator as you can do that (if you choose)with cigarette through card. As to the way it was presented it didn't leave much of an impression on me. Then again, I'm looking at it from my side of the magic fence.

Rnk hello I see very well what you mean but I think in this case that the angle is important not to see the thickness ...
again I think being a good little Mystic'hole climax to a coin trick to start a card trick .... No? soon |

I think it's a bit too thick but it can be managed. Best angle is we do it while standing so it will distort the thickness of the gimmick.
