Hi guys,

I came across this in a book shop the other day.

http://www.galison.com/Basic-Black-Accor......0C0.aspx

It looks those old filofax things people used before smart phones.

When you open it up, on the right hand side is a pad (swap this for your favourite i********n pad

On the left side is a mini concertina type series of 6 pockets.
Just great for keeping a whole shows' worth of stuff in one place.

In mine I've already got:
3 envelopes for Pocket Technicolour Prediction
5 envelopes for a Bank Nite effect
Till Death photos
Resonance Photos
Cards for Sole Survivor
Killer Elite

And there's room to spare

And of course business cards and such
There's even a place to park a pencil or pen.

There is some fine text on the spine that you may want to get rid of, but it's not too difficult.

What would you put in yours?

I recently got the mighty john riggs to make me a specific mini executive assistant, its not only a beautiful looking mini a5 portfolio, but holds everything I need for 30-40 minutes worth of work...couldnt and honestly don't need anything else...

pendulum and eric mason's thing in my jacket pocket, and a couple of pens and pencils, and I'm done...
I've asked to be banned

I used to carry a pocket sized folio built with an Im******** D*****

I crammed it full of bits and bobs and kept looking at it thinking how great it looked....after a while I realised although it looked good and made me feel cool...i didn't actually use it to perform with...

that's the problem with these kinds of things unless you use it alot, theres no point having one, kinda like the magician that walks around with his pockets loaded always ready to perform.

These days I carry my wallet and a pen on me.....95% of what I do doesn't need props, it comes from the knowledge ive drilled into my head for the last decade.

I carry stuff now in my wallet, but it's getting a bit bulky (not from too much cash that's for sure)

But I'll bow to your experience Looch.
I'll try to make use of it, but if I find it's like you say then I'll ditch it and go back to the bulging wallet.

Good luck with AREA

What Looch said. The last time I used anything that looked like a prop the effect bombed - because everything else I'd been doing looked like I'd either put it together myself as a demonstration or concocted it on the spot.

For instance, if was was going to do something like Killer Elite I'd make it up myself so it looked like something I'd just put together for this little experiment. Using the very cool props you get with it would just not work for me.

I now use this

it holds everything I need and functins as a table cover as well as several other uses.

No need to do that mate...I performed some lectures where I spoke about this sort of thing that's all.

Kind regards

In one of his books Bob Cassidy suggested using a metal cigarette case. I found one with a nice pentagram on it...perfect for billets, small pencils, etc. Fits one of Riggs' great devices, too.
