I have a small amount of some very soft, very white rope that is used for my Fiber Optics routine.. and am looking for more... but after buying some Elite Rope from Hocus Pocus am very disappointed.. it is stiff and clumsy..betteer for cut & restored.
Anyone know where this really nice soft rope comes from.. ? May be Daryl's but his discription say 'large' rope which I really just want regular size..? Fell free to beat me up if I am showing my ignorance.. thaks, - Nicodemus

I'm surprised that Elite Rope was stiff. I'm not sure what you mean by "clumsy", but I have never bought any Elite Rope that was stiff.

I have some very soft and very white rope that I have been using for Fiber Optics.. it looks like what Daryl uses in his videos... but it is now worn out and needs replaced.
I ordered Elite rope and it is very stiff.. as in when you hold a short piece ( 6" ) horizontally it almost stays rigid and straight out... where as the softer rope is very limp and handles sooooo much easier. Hope that clarified what I meant.. - Nicodemus

You will be very happy with the softness of Daryl's rope. Most cut and restore rope is 1/4" in diameter, and Daryl's rope is about 3/8" in diameter.

Ok Al ... you convinced me... just ordered some of Daryl's rope... ( just not sure why he markets it as 'thick' rope) fingers crossed...

The Empire Cut and Restored Rope is nice and soft. I've used it for Fiber Optics. I've also used soft red cotton rope from the local magic shop, if I want something that doesn't show dirt, easily.

I use BTC2 (3/8) from Baronian. good price, I remove the core, tuck in the ends. It maintains the thick appearance but is very soft and great to work with.
Just my opinion, but it works for me. |

Who sells the best quality soft rope in the UK ? It's really hit and miss buying on line without a good recommendation.

I have some rope that was well regarded by some magicians (I don't know much about rope but they wanted to know where I got it)....answer B&Q (a diy store). It is nylon rope with an inner core which I removed. Don't spend a fortune on it but buy 1 or 2 metres and have a go. might be just what you need.
