Eric Joisel was a French sculptor turned origami artist - a really great folder with a unique talent. He died on the 10th of October, he was only 53.
This is a video of him folding his swan, the base of which is the same classic paper crane which has been folded by thousands. A few extra folds deliver a wonderful model. This is a picture of his stunning pangolin. Folded from a square a couple of metres wide. Here's a gallery of his work : http://www.ericjoisel.com/gallery.html
