Popcorn is fantastic! I just do a stove-top thing, no butter or salt, and a TINY dash of White Cheddar seasoning.

Dear edh,
I was only in San Jose for a few years form maybe 77 to 80 tops. Woz paid to have all of the original Neon refurbished (it was absolutely beautiful) and put in new seats, carpets, a great projection and sound system (for the time) and a great big kettle Popcorn Popper. Great Theatre, lousy Kung Fu and Horror Movies mostly. Every few months we'd book Grease and Up in Smoke though, we always sold out completely on Saturday with that bill. $1.25 per ticket. - Mary Mowder |

Garlic Salt is Great on Popcorn.
I can't stand the Popcorn sold at Theater's. I much prefer Homemade. I don't care for the "flavored" oils that most if not all Theater's use. I much prefer a light vegetable oil instead. I also don't care for microwave. On the stove is the only way to go (shaken not stired). Iven

There used to be a kiosk in one of the subway stations in NYC selling popcorn. Flavored popcorn. Butter, cheese, garlic, sure but how about Ballpark? (Tasted like hotdogs!) Hot Chili, Bubblegum. They had dozens. This was over twenty years ago, I think they're gone now.
