I have always done close-up, mainly night clubs and parties. I have been working on cabaret the last few years. See my russian routlette post. But here is a link to my first real stage performance, 'stage' as inj front of 1000 people in a real theater. I just got the DVD of the show a few months ago, this is recorded of my laptop screen. I will try and get a better quality capture soon.
Let me know what you think of the routining with the hand illusion etc.
Thanks

The video quality was just too bad to make much sense out of anything that was going on. The sound was not much better.

Maybe once a better video is posted?

What was the point of the whole performance? Who was actually presenting the dialogue or was it a monologue? If the performer downstage center was doing the speaking it would be hard for the audience to focus on what was transpiring upstage right, and then that whole vignette is lost.

It was part of a larger show. I have worked with the group, a year earlier. The idea was a old magician talking about his old show. While the younger magician practised on an empty stage. Then they have a fight and the younger magician's severes his hand mirroring the older magician.
Originally they wanted me to perform the effects he was saying and then my hand was chopped off, with the arm squirting blood.
I had them make changes to the list as they were mostly large stage illusions, which couldn't fit into the time frame they wanted. With the last one called being one I was performing.
As well as using the Kevin James hand in place of what they originally envisioned. Being more practical and magical.
I had to routine and stage the hand illusion into the sketch myself.

Hey man. A re-post with better audio would definetly bring in much more replies. I found it really hard to hear and see what was going on and so hard to praise or criticise the performance. Its likely that others had the same trouble.

Horrible, if I had to base it on that. I just couldn't see what was happening.
