I recently purchased the "Disappearing Cards & Case" (by Empire) from Wunderground Magic in Clawson, MI. Great trick, but I wanted to spice it up, so I forced the card with a Svengali deck, used a card box to have the chosen card appear in when the deck vanishes. When I showed my wife, she asked, "why am I putting the card back into another box?", I was stymied.
Is anyone using this trick (other than a stand alone trick), and have other twists you could recommend? I'm thinking of having the full size deck become my mini-Invisible Deck, but not sure if that's the answer. Thanks! |

Hello John
I like your changing to a mini Invisible Deck idea. Maybe you can ask them if they would like to see "a little card trick", place the full size deck into the container, say "your wish is my command" (with a smile and a flourish) then remove the mini deck and proceed. Try out having them name a card before and after placing the full size deck in the container to see which gets the stronger reaction. Keep thinking outside the box! Julie |

Thanks Julie! One thing I'm trying to do these days (I took about a 20 year absence from magic, so rethinking from a fresh perspective), is not just doing trick #1, then trick #2, etc, but planning routines where several tricks flow together. I want to be down the road a bit with another trick while they are scratching their head on the last one. Lessen the risk of "hey, do that again"

With the disappearing card case, I use another deck. I force the card in the card case but I also make it 'disappear' from the deck and appear in the disappearing card case. Then I make the card case disappear as well. PM on the force I use.
