Wicca and Witchcraft are religions, Bizarre Magic is not, it is a theatrical genre. But of course you already know that. I'm interested in WHY you asked? Keith Hart

Wow, funny how threads reappear! That is magic!
Her question was - Is the practiced ritual magic any more real than what we do. I suppose you have to define what you mean by "real". In the strict sense of magical powers I would have to say of course not. In the words of Armand from Intervieww with a Vampire, "I have not met any devil or learned any secrets that will save or damm my soul". Of course I don't tell that to people! Being that Bizarrists are focussed on creating the magical experience as opposed to wishing for it, the theatrical side could appear much more "real". If you define "real" as meaningful, well that depends on the person. I would say there is much that is quite meaningful and useful in ritualistic magic. It's not all the Crowley conjuring demons schtick. Mostly it is not like that, and meaningful. Whereas, Bizarre Magick is a show that conveys whatever meaning the artist sees fit to include.

The original question almost seems rhetorical.
I didn't much get the point of it either, but I think Clifford's probably nailed it.
Just hanging out with the rest of my fellow dregs.

Hmmm, looks like having asked a question she knew the answer to Dayanara has disappeared.

Wicca is a Religion . witchcraft is not, its spellwork . As a wiccan Clergy Member I don't do spells . Im not a witch Im Wiccan that do magic the kind we all do here at the magic Café . For a long time I kept them as far apart as I could . But now it became a big part of my show. People want to see Wicca as what we see on TV so I use my Religion as a part of my story telling and performences . It took my show to a hole new playing feild .
