I believe we've had a couple of threads here about petitions to ban DHMO, due to its dangers ( http://www.dhmo.org/ ).
Well, such petitions have just been signed by attendees of the current climate change conference: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TzZ_Zcp4PwY It's official! Water is dangerous and should be banned completely! Climate scientists around the world have reached a consensus on this! |

Somehow being duped into signing a meaningless petition under false pretenses isn't as bad as most of a nation being duped into supporting ... well, quite a number of things I could mention here (and I am sure everyone here, on the right or on the left, has their own favorite that they could list) but I will restrain myself and keep from mentioning any of them.
Make America Great Again! - Trump in 2020 ... "We're a capitalistic society. I go into business, I don't make it, I go bankrupt. They're not going to bail me out. I've been on welfare and food stamps. Did anyone help me? No." - Craig T. Nelson, actor.

Penn & Teller did the petition on BS a while back. In the first season, I think. I told my chem prof last year about the episode.

Sorry, if it was signed it must be true....they are scientist after all.

I don't know who the attendees who signed it were because the vid doesn't identify them, but I doubt they were scientists. Any scientist knows what Dihydrogen Monoxide is. It's a pretty popular joke even in chem 101, and 141. All I saw in this video was folks who were mulling about between booths. No titles or credentials.
Not saying there aren't kooks in the climate field, just saying this video doesn't prove anything. It's just entertainment.

Now critter, asking Scott for evidence? You're asking a lot. This is, after all, an attempt to condemn everyone on the wrong side of an issue.

Doesn't matter, just claiming they are scientist is enough.

That's how it works these days.
I don't know much about global warming and all that other business. I'm down with conserving our rescources though.

That makes you conservative. We conservatives want to protect and preserve nature. The huggers want to destroy nature then point and the smoking remains and say "see! Now give us money and we can study it as it naturally returns to its normal state in 10,000 years and also to keep those anti environmental types from planting trees and cleaning it up!"

Can we save a lot of reading and bs and just say we all take our former positions? We all know who the "denier" are and the profets of global warming are. Otherwise this thread is going to get very boring very quick. (I used a detrimental term for each side just to be fair, and listed the side I am on first just to be tactful.)

? forest fires are part of nature. Preventing or interfering with them is ... asking for trouble. Nature is the way it is. What next, folks build sand castles and demand an end to tides?
So, where are we in relation to the coming of the next ice age? * From Robert Smith: the world is neither fair nor unfair the idea is just a way for us to understand but the world is neither fair nor unfair so one survives the others die and you always want a reason why but the world is neither just nor unjust it's just us trying to feel that there's some sense in it no, the world is neither just nor unjust and though going young so much undone is a tragedy for everyone it doesn't speak a plan or any secret thing no unseen sign or untold truth in anything... but living on in others, in memories and dreams is not enough you want everything another world where the sun always shines and the birds always sing always sing... *** It doesn't mean there has to be a way of things no special sense that hidden hands are pulling strings but living on in others, in memories and dreams is not enough and it never is you always want so much more than this...
...to all the coins I've dropped here

I saw the Cure at The Gorge ampitheather in George, WA. I think the huge canyon behind the stage might have some relation to the ice age. All of your symbolism aligns, that makes you the chosen one.
