Not sure if this is the right place to post or not.
Has anyone else purchased Paul Osborne's E-plans from his site? I purchased two plans (The Smoke Chamber, and Backstage with the Magician) late Monday evening via paypal. On the site he states that all e-plans will be sent via email within 24hours of purchase. It is now Thursday and I have not received the plans nor an email of any sort. I know that 3 days seems awfully early to start worrying, however if I knew it would really take this long I would have just ordered the paper plans, as purchasing the e-plans cost $10 extra per plan plus the charge at the printers to print them out on the oversized paper. I tried calling the number on the website but only got the voicemail. |

The site requests that once you have selected and paid to it to email them. I have had e-plans from other suppliers and it usually is an auto email with a link. However, looks like these plans are not auto generated. Email them at Bentli@aol.com.

10 dollars extra seems ridiculous to me. He doesn't have to pay for the paper or the envelope he sends them in, yet it's more money?! Paul Osbourne has the absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced. I bought a book from him a few years back, and it took 2 months to get to me. I e-mailed and called several times and never received a response, ever. Unfortunately, he is the only one who sells illusion plans anymore, other than Owens, so you pretty much have to deal with it. Good luck and I hope you get your merchandise soon.

I have always had good service from Osborne. Not same-day shipping like Amazon or some of the major online retailers, but perfectly acceptable.
I also understand the reason for the $10 upcharge - once the plans are distributed, they become easily distributable to others.
Things are more like they are today than they've ever been before...

10$ seems VERY reasonable to me. What can you get today for that amount of money? Concidering you are getting good plans, the knowledge and expertise behind them, this is not bad!
Just my opinion... |

Not $10, Loua14. $10 more than the regular price, which is typically $25-$30 for each of Paul's individual plans.
It's all in the reflexes.

I think the additional 10 is a steal - once you have the plan he has no proof you won't distribute it to 100 friends....

Just to let everyone know, I did receive the plans on Friday. There was a computer glitch and he was unaware I did not receive them.
In general the extra $10 does not bother me as that is almost nothing in comparison to the construction cost. All in all aside from the minor setback I have had great customer service from Osborne and will surly be purchasing from him again. Magicelam: I won't be distributing the plans to anyone other than who I am building the illusions for (As the written aspects will surely help in the performance.) However you do bring up a valid point. |
