I use both the Parapad and the Nomadpad and each has his advantages. The impression on the Parapad is a little better but the Nomadpad is better secured... anyway I wouldn't say that one is "far superior" in comparison to the other. The tearing of the paper or any other "drawback" written about the Nomadpad or about the Parapad (which cannot be reset as quickly as the Nomadpad) is to me irrelevant in a performing situation.
All in all, imho, those are two nice products, which use the same overall principle (not exactly the same technology though) and you can perform miracles with both. It's quite difficult to recommend one product rather than the other, but if I had to choose one I may vote for the Parapad, and that's very personal, I would completely understand that other prefer the Nomadpad. |

The NoMaD pads advantages include:
Magnetic locking (over the "sticky locking" of the parapad) Faster reset It's disadvantages seem to be the movement of then paper, which I agree can be slightly odd. However I currently have and use the NoMaD pad, I have several refills for it, and I also bought a second duplicate of it if the pad is ever left out in the open for too long. So I don't think I really want to spend £50 or so on exchanging for the Parapad. I did at one time see them both together, when MagicBox first got them both in long ago; and I remember thinking that I prefers the NoMaD. Maybe if I looked at them both today I would view it differently. What I do desire to do is to have multiple sheets of paper behind the one the spectator writes on. So I can use the casual line "The ink hasn't gone through the paper has it? No? Good, now tear it off and put it in your pocket". If anyone has any views on this, please PM me.
I come from the future to culture you poor sods with fire.

How many pages can each work thorugh? I have a butterfly which doesn't work through many. I recently bought Psypher and I comfortable that it will work effectively through 7-8 pages. Perhaps through proper handling that doesn't matter but for me it makes me more comfortable.

Try G O O G L E !!! Amazing technology and Google is easy to use. But you are never going to be able to make the special pen anywhere near as well as the pen supplied with ParaPad.

Wait until you get 50 posts and then you will be able to ask questions like this in the forums that are designed not to be open to the public. Talking about special paper and such can help expose the secret to the public. PM me if you need further clarification about this. |
