Its an interesting idea... basically its a photographic cable release with a really long throw and a screw end to screw utilities into.
It is always darkest just before you are eaten by a grue.

I owned one about 25 years ago, or more. I thought it was excellent. Your left finger with very little movement could vanish or produce an object in your right hand, which looked amazing. I thought it had several advantages over a gravity holdout. I think the plastic that it was made from left a lot to be desired, especially considering the cost. (It was a lot all those years ago too.)

I believe that built with higher quality materials, this could be an exceptional utility device capable of miracles.

I had one back in the mid-1970's. Bill Bixby used it to perform several different 'impromptu' miracles on 'The Magician'- that was great advertising for Paul Diamond and he probably sold a ton of them. I believe I paid around $20 for mine. It wasn't really 'uncomfortable', but it was a pain to set up and wear.
