Reminds me of the story about one of the last questions on a Nursing Exam.
What is the name of the custodian working on your floor. (as an intern) This question might be an urban legend, but it is very important.

I think I should at least conclude the thread with the picture of what I decided on.
Thanks to all that helped me. |

Yes, pretty snazzy layout - looks just like a stage now.

Hi all;
I was setting up my stage to check everything out and remembered that I never posted a photo of the table curtain with my logo here for your comments. It works fine for the venting; I use this table for the figure stage with curtain that I had built. When I am performing magic I use the table that Philip made me buy that has a pole stand and everyone can see that there is nothing hidden under a table. The photo was taken quickly with my I Phone, so the quality suffers Comments welcome |

Buzz, when you do a show how much time would you want or need to set up everything?

Chris,
I have completed a few shows now; I purchased some inexpensive toss games and other easy playthings for the kids to play with while I set up; everyone is having fun and no one bothers me as I bring in the rabbits, my tricks and table; I take my time so I don’t hurt myself and everyone is happy. I have four plastic boxes and the half table that opens to the six foot table you see in my last shot, the tricks are in the box with bubble wrap between them; ; it travels on a cart; the magic backdrop is in a bag with a strap that I carry; I ask for assistance if I need to go up stairs; It Can take from fifteen minutes to a half hour to set everything up, I can take a breather, then let the parents know I’m ready. |

If budget is an issue, you can by a piece of wood or aluminum rod in the length you need (or better yet, use PVC pipe and you can buy connectors to make it any length you need), and buy some bedsheets. This makes a decent looking backdrop on a budget.
Instead of bedsheets, you can buy whatever matrial you like and sew a rod pocket into it. Voila! Backdrop.
