http://vimeo.com/19389622 This is old interview footage I'm converting to digital files. I had been working with a group of Asian theater scholars for a few years when this was done. My research and scholarship on Asian street theater or Sangaku was pretty good by now.
I was doing lecture/demonstrations at the local college when the video department asked me to do this interview. My lecture portion was also good patter by now. My demonstration was not good theater by itself! That footage is pretty embarassing. LOL!

I put the rest of this interview up at Vimeo. I'm fanatical about Asian folk theater, but it might be interesting for anyone looking for a new direction.
I didn't post the stunt segments. It was my first time in my new characterization of an Asian street performer. It is too bad to watch. I did post a short news feature of a blindfolded motorcycle stunt. http://vimeo.com/19447375 Unfortunately it's just a watered down re-enactment of a much bigger production a few months earlier. That footage was tapped over and the local news station wanted to rerun the story after Easy Rider Magazine picked it up, calling me the "Harley Houdini", LOL!
