Great stuff but 75% is pretty tricky.
A think about 5 tricks use the ambitious riser move which is the hardest move I know. |

Just another card trick video. Not very fun to watch, card tricks with much to work on to. Nothing really magic or special about this one when compared to others.
Aiming to become the only magician in the world that has ever produced the lost socks back from the dryer...

Be prepared for some long & hard prectice sessions!!!
It is not called "Impossible Card Magic" for nothing. But if you do master the Raise Rise move/sleight, you will be well rewarded, but first you just need to sit down and watch the effect carefully a few times and then decide if it is worth it for YOU to spend so much time on this sleight(s)! Your decision! But personally, Ray Kosby is a very good technician, but a rather shy performer... Ronnie Lemieux Montreal Canada

Hi Harwin
I'd have to agree with the comments posted so far. Ray can do some pretty amazing things with the pasteboards and what gets me is how easy he makes it look. One tip that I found useful is to watch the sleights in the explanation section at super slow speed. Watch it frame by frame if you have to. This will help you understand things like the finger positioning. He doesn't really go into detail at all on how to actually execute the sleights, he just says to do it. Watching it frame by frame will fill in the blanks that his explanation leaves. Good luck and have fun with the material on this video. Attilio |

I really don't like this video. I know alot of magicians are geared towards learning the hardest sleights but I just don't think his routines are all that entertaining. The Raise Rise is pretty nice don't get me wrong, but in my ambitious routine there is absolutely no need for that. Why end it like that when I can have it appear in a box that's been in their hands the whole time folded in four with WWWAAAAY less work? I'm not afraid of work. I'm afraid of work that's not worth it.

It just depends how far you want to go in card magic - I learnt the Ambitious Riser move just to say I could do it, as I want to go as far as I can with cards. I haven't performed any of these routines to anyone though.
Learning the riser move isn't the end of it however, as putting together the routines for the tricks are just as hard. Simon. |

I didn't like this video as well.
A lot of time it looks like he just invented tricks to use his difficult sleights... I like simplicity, and to have the effect in mind, not the way to the effect. |

Some of my favourite tricks that i do from Ray Kosby's impossible card magic video are,
1) Smudge Colour Change ( A quickie but a goodie. ) 2) Jack in the Box ( It'll impress laymen. Best done in a 1 v 1 situation. ) 3) Half Right ( This is an excellent trick but not easy. ) 4) Deep thought ( Excellent! It's a tough one though. ) Two other tricks that i like is Oil and Water and The Other cheek. Haha, |
