The special will begin airing on stations across the country in March, and hopefully we will be able to sign up enough stations for a weekly syndicated hour. Wish me luck! |

Thanks, Santa.
I was still screwing with the code for the mp3 file when you posted. Here it is: http://www.pophaydn.com/RadioMedShow/Pop......Show.mp3 Anyone know how to make it appear with a player so people don't need to download the file. It isn't that long, but it would be nice is there is a player. |

Here is the copy that will be up soon on the JaggerPeyton.com website:
Bio: To list all of Pop Haydn’s accolades, awards, and prizes in so many different fields, would not be helpful here. Let’s just say that everything the critics and newspapers and magazines have said about him is true. His intellectual, scientific, medical and technical achievements speak for themselves. But more than anything, Pop Haydn is a man of the people… Pop Haydn was born in Clarkesville, Tennessee, the son of a minister, and grew up in Greenville, North Carolina. He went to college and graduate school in Virginia, where his mother’s conservative and staunchly religious family hails from. After leaving seminary unexpectedly just before ordination, he spent several years at sea, and then traveled out West for the adventure. Pop has been living out West under his current name for many years now, and in the 21st Century for more than five years! He is not originally from this century, but has been marooned here, mostly by accident, with a fairly large group of fellow expatriates from another time. Pop is a born entertainer—a magician, juggler, comedian, dancer, singer and musician. Pop thinks that this time period’s entertainment and music is much too fast and too “in your face.” He believes pleasure requires a more deliberate pace. After a life-time of work as an inventor and purveyor of fine patent medicines and specific tonics, he knows just what it takes to soothe the injured ear, and heal the bruised psyche that is caused by the static, electronic noise and ubiquitous disturbances in the primary energy fields that a modern society inflicts upon us daily. He intends to help people restore congruence to their bio-energy fields by listening to music that soothes, heals and energizes. Pop says, “Everything that goes into your ear stays in your head forever.” So listen carefully… Pop Haydn’s Radio-Medicine Show: Come closer, folks! The better you listen, the more you will hear…Pop Haydn’s Radio-Medicine Show is iron-clad, money-back guaranteed to be good for what ails you! Here you will find music selected on the basis of modern science for its various healing, soothing, medicational, or energizing properties. Pop will be dispensing wisdom and inspiration with his stories and commentary and of course, he will be pitching his various tonics and salves. The songs on the show are eclectic and fun, taken from or emulating popular music in the rural and Western United States from the 1890’s up through the 1930’s. String bands and jug bands, cowboy music, country, blues, jazz and popular song—the music that would have accompanied a medicine show traveling through the South and West. We are not just playing recordings, this is a party! We have Professor Dave Bourne and the Medicine Show Band backing us up, with Pop spinning recorded music and holding court at the other end of the room. And, through the miracle of radio-magnetism, we are able to broadcast this out to all of you on our luminiferous aetherial network. We will have some live guests and many 21st Century performers and recordings that appeal to the same tastes in music, and of course, useful for addressing the same spiritual and physical needs in our listeners. Pop has a true vocation to reach these people and share with them, and with all of you at home, the benefits of a healthy music life-style and the restorative that geniality and a little common sense and some uncommon nonsense can provide. The Pop Haydn Radio-Medicine Show is safer than homeopathy. It alleviates the pain and heals the damage created by the many infelicities of sound that constantly bombard our senses. Let Pop create the proper spin, and get you on your way to recovery. Listen up, Folks! It’ll make you feel better! |

Fantastic Whit. All the best with this. Hopefully someone up North will pick it up. Or at least we'll get a podcast.

Thanks. We hope that we can get a weekly show. That would be the best. It may lead to our "Old Time Internet Hour."

If there is a single truth about Magic, it is that nothing on earth so efficiently evades it.

Whit, are you gonna cover your radio desk with girlie postcards, like Penn Jillette? Cause that would be way cool.

No. I don't have a radio desk. I work behind the bar in the...uh...backroom of Pop's General Merchandise.
There are plenty of beautiful ladies around, Jeff. You just need to bring some money with you... Magill is at the desk selling bottles, ever ready to haul the wagon up behind the store, right below the office window. |
