Some years ago I asked a very good friend of mine a question. "If you possessed supernatural powers, what magic trick would you do?" The answer I got was simple "Change a card into another one, visually in front of the spectator.
So I performed the classic Snap Change. He was impressed but pointed out a few things, he thought it felt more like sleight of hand than magic. This could of coarse be my fault. But non the less I decided that I wanted to change the way I perform this specific effect. So I put up a few ground rules for the "new and better snap change". * The change should be visual and as direct as the classic snap change (otherwise there would be no point) * Finger positioning should be the same after the effect as they where before it. * The change must be repeatable, without reset. By now you might have already guessed what the following video will be about. While I have not reached the vision I have I figured I should post a video showing my progress. Maybe I will get some feedback/critique that will be of value. With that said I give you these videos: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8c5ydgQ3_......embedded http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dc6lc4 Y&feature=player_embedded PS the video has 2 sections, the beginning is made as a trailer (mainly because it was fun). In the end you can se 2 performances that are uncut. |

Thanks for the positive feedback (even though the last 3 comments consisted of 3 words combined). This is something I have been thinking about releasing in some way or another, the question is... Anyone interested ?

Very smooth. No obvious finger flicking and nice clean up.
