All those Magic Café members who have been subscribers to Lee Earle's Syzygy all these years, should post here to thank him for his terrific effort in producing this outstanding mentalists' letter. Any of you who have been subscribers know how many contributions to our Art have been brought to us by Mr. Earle's publication. I personally use two effects from Syszygy in my act.
Lee devoted much time, sweat, effort and love in putting together each issue. Some of the best mentalists in the world were co+ntributers. Sadly, as with all good things, Syzygy has come to its end (at least for now). Through good and bad times, Lee held to his commitment to his subscribers. Finally, all subscribers, according to Lee, will be compensated in some manner if his final volume does not meet their subscribtion end date. Frankly, I do not know of many, if any, of past producers of mentalism and magic periodicals, that has been this loyal and honest to their subscriber base. Again, until the possible rebirth of Syzygy in the distant future, lets all give our thanks to Lee and the Best of luck to him in his future endevors.

Syzygy is a great magazine.
Even when coming to an end Lee puts in stuff that is worth the price of the entire subscription. He recently submitted a pulse-stopping trick of his own design that is killer. I can hear you all now "Oh, pulse stopping, how boring" I forgot to mention, your pulse stops IN YOUR NECK!!!! Thanks Lee, you are a gentleman and a true genius in the art of mentalism. I hope whatever it is you decide to do, you share with us mere mortals, Best wishes, James

Okay... I have been a loyal subscriber and contributor since it's inception and this is the first I have heard of it
Some fantastic ideas in there. I guess the news has not filtered down to the UK yet! Bri |

You will read all about it when you get Issue 90 with two final quarterlies and the Vol 5 index.

My favorite effect from SYZYGY? Probably the one I helped create.
Bonus points to the first person who can cite the trick title.
Was that meant to be edible?

Thanks for the heads up Lee.
Shame but all good things must come to an end. I notice that Mentalism Unlimited are releasing the first 5 years. It comes with a CD ROM with PDF files, I wonder if the CD ROM will be available to those of us who already have all the issues? Bri |

It's a pity that this journal stops now. Already in the last years there were only a few numbers of Syzygy. The MMM-magazine from Ted Lesley has died after only one year. Why is there no journal on mentalism on the market? I can't believe that the market is now smaller than in former times.

One thing should be made clear. Lee may well produce a "new" Syzygy using CD technology; however, when it will come out is still very unclear. He said he needs to give it study and thought. Maybe if those who have an interest would email him, his "new" Syzygy might become a reality sooner rather than later. Try reaching him atleeE@aol.com

Thanks Lee for all. I hope it doesn't come to a halt. It had some great stuff. Lee, are you still a member of the pysclones?

Yes, phantomace, I am still a member of the Psi Clones. At present I am the VP/Treasurer. We founded the organization 7 years ago and are still going stong. Started with 8 members and now are at 32. Still meet every month, with the meeting devoted to various topics concerning mentalism. At this coming Monday's meeting, our member Mark Strivings is presenting this month's topic, Seances. Of course, Lee Earle is an honorary member of the Psi Clones.
The advertisement for his Syzygy book is now up on he and Larry's site, unlimitedmentalism.com . It looks like a winner.
