Hey all,
I know that the basic smoke chamber effect is nothing new (glass box shown empty, fills with smoke, performer steps out). BUT- does anyone claim ownership to the style where the box is actually two glass boxes, and the space in between is filled with smoke? Copperfield used this, but I've also seen the concept in other's illusions, such as one performer's elaborate subtrunk. For the record, I'm 100% AGAINST knockoff illusions. However, if I'm building a public domain illusion and I use a concept that doesn't change anything from the audience's point of view, and several others have used it as well, then ??? Thanks! |

Osborne has plans on it, and as far as I know noone wll mind if you use a known comncept to build yours.

Fabio,
Does those plans are the version with to glass boxes, one within the other. Personally I would say that this idea belongs to David Copperfield, but I'm not sure. Oliver. |

This forum is open, so it is better not to get into the technical details here. Osborne's chamber uses a different method.

I'm pretty sure that the double smoke chamber was a Rand Woodbury idea.
