Not really ever needing to do one, I was wondering what deck switch seems to work best in real world applications.

Whichever one you feel the most comfortable with.....they will all work, but just remember that they all take good timing and misdirection (Larger action covering a smaller action). It also depends on where you use the switch. There are switches for every occasion, i.e. table work, standing work, stage,......etc. You also might want to check into using a deck shell. This is highly effective and the deck is always out in the open.....or at least your audience thinks so. Good luck.
Success to all.

Jhard, do you have an advice on the deck shell? Which one do you prefer?
My mind reading routines: http://www.basjongenelen.nl/goocheltrucs/. Scroll a bit down to the English routines.
