I've always had a bit of a thing for the 1976 ABC TV movie, The Great Houdinis. Maybe that’s because it aired during the first year of my burgeoning interest in Houdini. Maybe it’s because it’s *** good! But one thing that has always puzzled me is where exactly this film was shot.
Now, thanks largely to Bill Goodwin and the awesome William Larsen Sr. Memorial Library at The Magic Castle, I've uncovered the story of the making of my favorite Houdini biopic. Enjoy. http://www.wildabouthoudini.com/2011/03/......nis.html |

Thank you John! Very interesting information!
I saw Great Houdinis many years ago in Finnish-tv. Then I have to buy old used vhs-version. Waiting for dvd release... with best, Jari |

I never knew our own Mr Patrick Culliton had appeared in a movie. That's so cool!

And now we have news of a NEW Houdini biopic from Sony. This makes the fourth Houdini film project announcement in two months. (I happen to know of a fifth.)

That was very interesting. Thanks so much John. What started as going to read just a few paragraphs, turned into a hour of very interesting reading.

In which shots did Gay Blackstone act as stunt double for Sally Struthers?
