There are a few magicians around, but I believe Brent is correct. We have no clubs here. Chester gets together with a few guys but that's about it. Nothing formal. However, drop me a PM if you'd like to meet one day for coffee and a chin wag.

I have been looking for magic clubs/magicians in saskatchewan to talk with and have not been too successful in either category. I am sure there are magicians and those who want to learn the art in saskatchewan. Hopefully they will post here and we can get something going. Would love to find more magicians who like to do gospel magic in saskatchewan as well.

I have, but still no one answers. Maybe it's the Gospel part in my name, I don't know. I would love to get together with other magicians and socialize.(lol)

We are beginning to develop CAM Chapters and if you guys want to spear head the idea in your area, it would be awesome.
I can supply you with a list of all CAM members and other magicians know in the area. Drop me an email at: president@cammagic.org and take a peek at the new website: http://www.cammagic.org -shawn |

Hey guys I just got on here and yes there are a number of magicians in Sask. Regina has a bunch there are some in Saskatoon, I am in Prince Albert. We do have a magic shop in Saskatoon, it is 8th Street Comics. However the shop is mainly a comic store and they just have some supplies, Pat will order it in for you. However no one there does magic so if you are looking for help and instruction, or just to see the routine before you buy you will have to do your own research. I am always interested in meeting the guys around. and sometimes I get to Regina so we should get together. And as a note for anyone passing through Sask you can always give me a call.

I think it would be cool to all get together! My home is always open for such an occasion.

Hey!
I was born and raised in Saskatchewan.. There used to be a meeting every month in Saskatoon. It was a blast and I would travel 2 hours each way (from North Battleford). It was really fun. Unfortunately, it stopped.. I really miss some of the guys there: Blacksalt, Double Vision, Lou Leventhal.. Anyways, if you do decide to have a meeting - let me know - I would love to be a part of it.. it's a longer commute from Vancouver than battleford, but I am often out there doing gigs.. Later! A couple of us in Moose Jaw were looking at starting a club, I've never been part of one so I have no idea what the experience would be like, but it would be neat to meet other magicians around here. If we arranged a meeting what exactly would we be doing? I'd be interested in helping put something together, just need a little guidance as to what we'd want to accomplish.

We have an email list going for Sask residents and it has produced a couple of get together's, if you are interested fire me an email and I will put you on the list and get you in touch with other magicians.
At meetings you can show your magic and also you can just talk about whatever it is a chance to meet like minded people. |

Roger, your are d'man... So good to see you guys all starting to connect.
My magic would never have reached where I am today without the support of other magicians... -shawn |

Well said Shawn, there is nothing better than magicians helping magicians. You just can't put a value on the interactions of a good get-together!
I do admit, I haven't been logged on the Café much so appologize if anyone has been trying to contact me. Guess I'll log in more often to check things out. That being said, anyone looking to discuss magic, I'm always an email away and open to fellow magi. Chester |

Just an update. We have had several of us turn out to regular meetings in the last year. The meetings are informal but very insightful, and always entertaining. We have a great bunch of entertainers, but as the saying goes..."The more the merrier!" If you live in Saskatchewan and would like to know more about our group, you can either email Chester, Roger, or myself. I'm sure anyone of us is willing to take blood work from you, process a criminal record check, and collect the initiation fee. Lol

Hello there
I am also from Saskatchewan and currently live in the Prince Albert area. I would be quite interested if there was a club started. Hopefully there will be something like this in the future! Kyle |
