I've been a close-up guy forever. For the past few years, I've been slowly moving into stand-up. I became a fan of Cereal Killer by Nick Larkin the first time I saw him perform it. I immediately went out and purchased it. The I found he released the new and improved version, which I then went out and purchased that. I have to admit, I've not worked with or performed this yet. Before I put anymore energy or expense into Cereal Killer, I would like to hear from anyone who is currently performing Cereal Killer in their set.
I would be interested in hearing what anyone thinks about this routine and how well this is received. And to perhaps suggest any tips or hints. I appreciate anyone who takes the time to read and respond to my post. Thanks |

I use it. It's my favorite trick.

I believe close-up spelled your name wrong. Are you the Nick Lakin of Cereal Killer fame? If so, kudos to you for Cereal Killer, it's a great effect.

I love it. Terrific for audiences comprised of both kids and adults. Only drawback is it doesn't work one hundred percent of the time by any means, so you do need to be creative in coming up with an "out."
Very entertaining AND it's fun to perform! |

No...it doesn't work ALL the time. But it IS a comedy effect...and their expectations are different.
I will say, however that it is WONDERFUL when it does work! David

I love this. As David states- even if it doesn't work- you can play it off as a comedy- so I guess you can say it has a comedy out built into the effect. Always gets very good reactions. I feel it's a definate winner- especially for the price.

I have heard there is a newer version with more of that special something inside the envelope. Those that own it will know what I am talking about. Does anyone know of a source for buying the new version?
