"Is there any point to which you would wish to draw my attention?"
"To the curious incident of the dog in the night-time."
"The dog did nothing in the night-time."
"That was the curious incident," remarked Sherlock Holmes.

Visual likeness is okay, but otherwise, it just showcases how far off they still are.

Uncanny valley is deep and wide.

Landmark, if you think the likeness is okay, you're going blind. The only one that looked even remotely passable was the one on the far right- and only because it was covered with facial hair. The likeness will be good when they do this thing, and the one that's standing pulls up his shirt and opens a panel to reveal circuitboards and hydraulic hoses.

Of course, that would probably proceed to a scene we'd expect to see in a Terminator movie, so I'm hoping not to see it for a while.

Am I the only one who thought, "Hey, that's not any better than Disney was doing fifty years ago!"?

Disney did this in 1964:

Actually, that may be the modern version. I think this is the old one:

Doesn't matter. Y'all get the point.

The video showed nothing really.
I was expecting some real interaction with the robots. The voices did not sound natural (I have heard other devices sound more natural) and the movements were more mechanical looking than I have seen in other robots.
The camera person did a very amateur job taping the event (too much camera motion) and it was hard to understand what was being said. Very poor quality video if their purpose was to show off their creation.

I agree with Stoneunhinged, Great Moments With Mr. Lincoln was a much better "Robot" considering the Technology at the time.

Thanks for the link, it was almost interesting.

Pakar, too late. They already have invaded the bedroom.

And no, I'm not linking anything here (and can't link anything here; this is a family-friendly website.)

I don't like the way them Chuck E Cheese robots look at me.
