What is more likely is that mentalists will use devices that look like this (i.e., dummy ones) as a presentational tool and method of misdirection.
In fact I can imagine that some enterprising magic company is already working on a prototype. Actually maybe all you need is some Velcro tape. Mike |

Hmm, the article says the guy who invented this only has an 85% success rate. I’ll go with the mentalist and the Velcro!
