Check out what I saw tonight from an upstairs window just before dinner...
This is looking northeast of Livermore in the SF Bay Area. Hmmm... the link didn't catch. I wonder what I did wrong... Maybe it's all a conspiracy... ???

Is a really impressive cloud.
Asimov tells a story where his daughter Robin said; "Daddy, a flying saucer." He gets up to look and sure enough, there's a grey disc floating in the air a few miles away. He runs back for his glasses saying; "I am not seeing this! I am not seeing this!" With glasses, there's still a floating disc way up in the air... then it begins to turn and elongate and it turns out to be the Goodyear blimp!

I just tried Woland's link again, and it worked fine. Maybe I'll get a chance later today to see if I can load it another way.
Actually, what I think is really funny is that there's a Reserve Forces Training Area not too far from where the cloud -- er, saucer -- was. If you look up in the hills when you're driving by it you can see a whole bunch of dishes pointing at the sky. As far as I can tell, the cloud -- er, saucer -- was probably about halfway between Livermore and the Los Vaqueros Reservoir, which is next to the Vasco Caves Regional Park. Hmmm... getting more interesting by the minute...

Oh yes, a lenticular cloud.
Lots of those around lately. I watched one bank on a 45 degree angle once, very strange.

Oh, that's cool! Was it over a mountain? Probably a Lenticular cloud.

Halfway between the labs and the military installation. I wonder if somebody was commuting...

Definitely strange. It is symetrical. Looks as if it was fashioned by something intelligent, not just a cloud.
Definitely a UFO. U being the key letter....Unidentified
