I adore this book!!!! Go buy it if you havn't got it yet, a real gem!

Richardson's "Thought of Card at Any Number" is my favorite impromptu mental enigma. Like many of his effects, you can perform it for 1 or for 5 or for 50 or more. A few years ago he was selling the notes for this effect at his lecture. If you'd like to do a "...At Any Number" effect without developing a callous on your pinkie, track down these notes.

yes, Theatre of the Mind is a FANTASTIC BOOK! BRILLIANT WORK ON THE bill to impossible location!

To the audience, it appears that a bill was randomly selected. The bill is signed, the serial number is written down and a corner of the bill is torn off. At the end of the effect, a spectator removes the bill from whatever impossible location that you chose. really powerful stuff.

I think Dennis is talking about Pencil Pusher (p.71).

Yea, that's it.

I use nylon thread - you know the shiny plastic thread
that at one time people thought was invisible

In this case it REALLY is - because of the creases at the base of your finger.

The hardest part is tying it without anyone helping you.

But, once it's on you can forget about it.
I've kept it on for up to a week at a time.
(just check it now and then - because at some point it seems to just vanish)

It's a very strong effect for laymen!!
