Amazon is an online retailer. If you're already ordering online then the electronic format has the quickest "shipment." So I think the sample is probably not representative of the book reading population.

Since the purchase of my Kindle 3G a month ago, I am hooked on e-books and PDF's.
Most of my Magic books are in my Kindle. It is fast and easy to get the meaning of a word on the fly and if I am reading outside, the wind does not turn the pages for me. I enjoy the fact that I can carry my library with me, taking up no more space than a single thin book. Looking up a passage or particular item is much faster than trying to find it in a paper book. Maybe not for everyone but I think anyone who will spend just an hour with a Kindle will be as hooked as I am. Look at all the trees that are being saved. Iven

Every time I go out shopping I have to stop in at least one book store. Used bookstores are the best. It's like a treasure hunt.

I love ebooks. I don't really read them though. I like the convenience, being able to look things up on the fly, but when I really want to read a book, I generally like the real thing.
Granted, I have not spent much time reading books on an iPad, and no time with a kindle. Obviously reading them on a phone is not quite the same.
